My Experience

Roles & Responsibilities

2nd Grade Virtual Teacher

As a 2nd Grade Virtual Teacher, I deliver live whole-group lessons and lead targeted small-group reading and math sessions, including data-driven reading intervention groups to accelerate student growth. I design and build engaging synchronous and asynchronous lessons using Google Slides, Canva, and district curriculum materials, and streamline classroom workflows and resources through Google Workspace.

I maintain regular family communication via RingCentral (calls and texts), Canvas messages, email, and virtual conferences, and use Google Sheets to track assessments, attendance, and intervention groups for real-time instructional decisions.

4th Grade Math  and Science Teacher

I led the enhancement and revamp of a hands-on digital science curriculum, building multimedia lessons that worked well live or on students’ own time. I organized our teaching materials in Google Workspace for Education and Schoology so students and teachers could work together easily and access lessons from anywhere.

I used assessment data from i-Ready, Savvas, and Google Forms to adjust instruction in real time. That let me create small-group interventions and custom learning paths so each student could make steady progress.

I also managed classroom technology through Clever to make logins and transitions smooth. To keep families informed and involved, I send weekly digital newsletters and offer virtual meetings, building a strong home–school partnership.

Classical Conversations Director

I collaborated with a church for the use of its building and interviewed potential families and tutors to start a Classical Conversations homeschool community. As a business owner and director, my duties included scouting, hiring, and training tutors to teach and adhere to the Classical Conversations community's Classical homeschool model.  Planning and implementing a schedule, and directing meetings according to CC policies were essential in creating a positive environment for students, teachers, and parents.  As a face for CC, I communicated with families and coached them through the homeschool process.
